M4 SmartFrames
SmartFrame combined with SmartSign and SmartBlind has been installed on the M4 by the highly progressive Balfour Beatty Mott MacDonald joint venture. The system was chosen in response to concerns regarding implementing traffic management with the advent of the concrete barrier installation. SmartFrame addressed all of the safety concerns for both the travelling public and traffic management operatives. The huge advantage that the sign plates could be aligned with the barrier when not in use, combined with the ease of installation and price, made SmartFrame the natural choice.
